Carmel, CA – Sugar Science invites the community to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a festive and hands-on cake decorating experience on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at The American Legion Post 512 on Dolores Street between 8th & 9th Avenues.

This special class offers students the opportunity to learn professional decorating techniques while creating their own St. Patrick’s Day themed cake to take home. Participants will be provided with a two layer Vanilla Bean cake square and will be guided step-by-step through decorative piping and festive design elements inspired by the holiday.

Designed for all skill levels, the experience focuses on creativity, fun, and the joy of working with beautiful, high-quality ingredients. Whether attending with friends, family, or solo, guests can expect a relaxed and welcoming environment that reflects Sugar Science’s signature blend of artistry and hospitality.

About Sharon Runde – Owner and Founder of Sugar Science
Sharon Runde has grown up baking her entire life. She is a 4th generation baker, learning from her Great Grandmother, Grandmother, and Mother. Each generation specialized in their own favorite desserts and treats, and Sharon spent her childhood learning from her maternal mentors. Later, Sharon spent her career at The Naval Postgraduate School as a Faculty Associate for Research conducting scientific research for the military. She has blended her passion for scientific research and her childhood love of baking to create unique, custom creations for her community.
